Donate

There are many ways to make a donation (both financial and supplies). We are a 501(c)3 organization and all contributions are tax-deductible as allowed by law.

Volunteer

FIDO volunteers work together in a variety of ways to directly improve the lives of dogs (and cats) in our community. Roles range from driving down alleys to find dogs in need, to mixing food for our pet food pantry, to helping fundraise.

Report

If you believe an animal protection law is being violated or there is a dog-related emergency (such as a dog hit by a car, abandoned, neglected, or stray and aggressive) the best way to reach Indianapolis Animal Care Services is online via Indy.gov/RequestIndy/. Reports are sent directly to the field officer’s inbox.

Ordinances

The city of Indianapolis has set ordinances in place to ensure the proper care and treatment of the dogs that call Indy home. These ordinances cover shelters, enclosures, tethering, weather, and shade.
