A wheelchair for Norman

You may remember our buddy Norman, a neglected and abused senior dog that got a second lease on life after he was rescued by FIDO and friends, and given a forever home by Susan Niehoff.

By way of our amazing network of animal advocates and animal welfare organizations, FIDO helped secure a set of wheels for Noman, who had become all but incapacitated by doggy arthritis. These contraptions can cost upward of $300, so we're grateful for longtime FIDO volunteer Chris Novak who contacted a Magnificent Mutts Rescue colleague in Chicago, who knew someone in Kentucky! Talk about networking!

Norman's story was featured on RTV-6 News (click here for the video!), and will also be featured on Patty Spitler's Pet Pals segment on WISH-TV (video coming soon!)

FIDO board member Jeni Christoffersen said, "it’s these kinds of successes on a case by case basis that encourage us to keep doing what we’re doing."
