FIDO is the only animal welfare group in Indianapolis with a proactive outreach program to find outside dogs and offer information and resources to their owners. Our case managers work directly with citizens to improve the living conditions of their dogs and keep them in their own homes and out of the local, over-crowded animal shelters. FIDO partners with Indianapolis Animal Care Services in the field.
FIDO is the only animal welfare group in Indianapolis to provide large, secure fenced enclosures for dogs. Our program provides a humane and safe alternative to dog tethering.
FIDO removes all barriers to spay/neuter by scheduling, transporting and funding spay/neuter surgeries along with vaccinations for our clients’ animals. We require spay/neuter compliance to receive our other services.
Once each month FIDO has a drive-through service for pet food and flea treatment. Twice each week FIDO has a walk-up service for a variety of pet supplies at nominal fees.
