Our 2-day spay/neuter transport marathon is done, and 32 dogs and 11 cats are now spayed/neutered! This effort impacted a total of 22 low-income households. Not too shabby for a couple of days work, especially knowing several of the animals involved have had prior litters.
Today went extremely well. At each of our stops, we found the families waiting when we arrived and ready to help load their pets. And amazingly pretty much all of the animals (even being a little nervous and unsure about what the heck was going on) cooperated and went right into their corresponding carriers. Additionally, families openly shared their appreciation for the help and relief of having this done.
Thanks so much again to IndyHumane for making this effort possible and to all FIDO volunteers and staff for hitting the trail again and getting em’ fixed!
